Gintama is one of the most popular anime series in recent years. Gintoki Sakata, the protagonist, is a samurai who works for a company that does odd jobs. Gintoki doesn’t seem to care about anything other than his job and getting money. In the Gintama filler list, we will discuss the 15 reasons why Gintama is such an amazing anime!

Reason four: Gintama is full of Gintoki’s hilarious jokes. Gintoki makes Gintama so much more enjoyable, and it helps with the drama in the Gintama filler list as well because if a joke is said then all tension disappears for a moment to make room for laughter.

Reason five: The voice actors/actresses that are Gintama are also Gintoki. Gintoki’s voice actor is the same person as Ginko in GNG, and Sakata Gintoki has been voiced by Sorachi Hideaki from the beginning to now as well!

Reason six: The art style of GNT was based on Kamishibai which was storyboards told to be seen by Gintoki. GNT has a traditional art style which is what makes it stand out from other anime, and the backgrounds are also very detailed because of this!

Reason seven: The characters in GNT (and Gintama) have many different personalities that make each character interesting to watch. For example, Ginko is Gintoki’s little brother and he has a very child-like personality that makes him so loveable.

Reason eight: GNT, as well as Gintama, have really catchy theme songs! GNT opening song “Lonely in Gorgeous” by GReeeeN was released on April 19, 2017, while the ending of GNT is “Ketsui no Asa ni Gintama o” by NoisyCell. Gintama’s opening song, Crossing Field sang by Linked Horizon was released on July 16th 2012 and the ending of GNT is Dakishimete yo! performed by DOMINO☆

Reason nine: GNT has a really diverse range of episodes. GNT had a special episode that aired on April 25th, 2017 in honour of the Gintama anime’s finale; GNT also aired an OVA with Gintoki and Shinpachi cosplaying as their female counterparts to get rid of a ghost from Kagura’s house (and they did!).

Reason ten: GNT has Gintama references! Shinpachi is seen reading Gintoki’s manga in the GNT episode “Shinigami-san and Gintama”

Reason eleven: GNT had an episode that aired on September 18th, 2017 where they showed a scene from Episode 167 of Gintama; GNT also made subtle references to Gintama in “Gotta Kill Them All”

Reason twelve: GNT had a Gintama crossover episode with the Gintoki and Shinpachi cosplaying as their female counterparts; They also shared some scenes from Episode 167 of GINTAMA-san.

Reason thirteen: GNT has an amazing opening sequence. The Gintama opening sequence is really unique and the GNT intro has a Gintama reference in it

Reason fourteen: GNT’s Gintoki later cosplayed as his female counterpart to get rid of a ghost from Kagura’s house (and they did!).
