If you’re a fan of Mvc2 and want to know which characters outrank others, this tier list will help you make the right decisions during MvC2 matches. This tier list features both professional MvC2 players as well as popular MvC2 Youtube channels. MVC players are ranked by MVC greats such as Justin Wong, K-12, and Daigo Umehara.

To rank Mvc characters on a tier list, the MVC community uses two criteria: character’s own abilities themselves and matchups against other MVC characters in one-on-one competitive matches. MVC content creators like Moxie, Logan Miers, and Leon Zhang have also contributed to the Mvc tier list.

Akuma – one of the most powerful characters in MVC because he can take on a variety of different matchups with his moveset that includes air attacks and teleports. However, his weaknesses are Zangief, Mvc-I Chun Li and Mvc-II Ryu.

Chun Li – MVC’s resident female fighter who is a powerful ground character that relies on her speed to take the victory in most matches. She falls short against Dhalsim because of his long reach as well as characters with air projectiles like Guile or Mvc-I M. Bison

Dhalsim – MVC’s resident zoner that relies on air attacks and projectiles to outline any opponent in the game, but he is weak against Mvc-II Ryu because of his ability to escape Dhalsim’s long reach with a teleport. MVC’s most agile character has the ability to outmanoeuvre and confuse opponents with his unique long reach but he is weak against Mvc-I M. Bison because of the latter’s ability to perform low percents combos into Dhalsim, Mvc-II M. Bison for the same reason, and MVC-I Ken because of Mvc-II Ryu’s reasons.

Guile – Mvc’s most versatile character that has many different moves to use against any opponent in MVC as well as his own unique special move called Sonic Boom. He is weak against Mvc-I M. Bison because of the latter’s ability to extend combos into Guile at low percents and Zangief for the same reason but with better matchups on the ground.

Zangief – Mvc’s most powerful character that can knock out opponents with a single close-up punch if they’re not careful, but he is weak against MVC-I M. Bison for the same reason Guile is because of his ability to extend combos into Zangief at low percents and Dhalsim for MVC-II Ryu’s reason.

MVC-II M. Bison – MvC’s most powerful character that is capable at both ranges but he has to be in close proximity to deal any significant damage which means he can’t abuse MVC-I M. Bison’s moves to extend combos into MVC-II M.

Bison which MVC-I M. Bison can still do with Mvc-II Ryu and Dhalsim for the same reason, both of whom are also capable at close range but they lack MvC’s power to extend combos into MVC-II M. Bison

MVC-I M. Bison – Excellent at Mvc-II M. Bison’s strengths, but falls short at MvC’s primary strength which is a weakness for MVC-I Ryu. MvC’s most powerful character is capable at both ranges but he has to be in close proximity to deal any significant damage which means he can’t abuse MVC-II M.

Mudcats: Mvc-I M. Bison and Mvc-II Ryu

Bison’s moves to extend combos into MVC-II M.

Bison which MVC-I M. Bison can still do with Mvc-II Ryu and Dhalsim for the same reason, both of whom are also capable at close range but they lack MvC’s power to extend combos into MVC-II M.

M. Bison MVC-II M.

Bison – Mvc-I M. Bison and Dhalsim are also capable of extending combos into MVC-II M.

M. Bison but they lack the power to extend combos that way which is a weakness for those two characters, but one strength for Mvc-II M.

Ryu means you’re never moving away from the character’s strong points, but with Dhalsim or MvC’s other characters they have to move towards those strengths by pulling back M.
