This fashion picture in motion is one of the most inspirational and creative pieces of art I’ve ever seen. The way that each piece is carefully selected, placed, and edited to create this captivating video makes me want to come together with my friends and family more often. Sometimes we all need a little push or reminder to get up from our computers, put on some music, and go out for a walk.

I hope we can all take something away from this video and live life more to the fullest.

Plot:

Come Together is a 2016 Christmas-themed comedy short film written and directed by Wes Anderson. It stars Adrien Brody and Garth Jennings and was made as a commercial for H&M’s “Come Together” clothing line. It was released on November 27 of 2016 on the internet.

In the film, two passengers are traveling home when they find themselves snowed at an airport. They struggle to get back on schedule and eventually wind up making it out of their ordeal with a new perspective about life.

The story is told through a series of skits depicting different issues that come together and intertwine, using the theme-song lyrics “come together” as its narrative device. The song was written by Tony Visconti (former lead singer for David Bowie’s 1970s band) and composed by Michael Brook with Mick Jagger also credited as co-writer due to his involvement in popularizing the refrain “Come Together”.

The film opens with two people (Shirley and Richard) riding together on a motorcycle. They have just been stuck at their airport for 12 hours after it snowed heavily outside, meaning that no flights were leaving or arriving. Shirley is freaking out because she was supposed to be home years ago and her kids are mad at her; this isn’t how she expected her vacation to go. After some time of being angry about everything happening around them, Shirley sees an article in a newspaper titled “Come Together” which inspires hope within herself and lets Richard know what’s gone wrong so far too.

The film follows the story of Shirley and Richard as they take an old-school train from Vienna to Prague. They have some arguments, but by the time they reach their destination (despite a few detours) they are closer than when they started out on their journey together. The film ends with them still riding in tandem, now through snow-covered woods side by side.

After this, Ralph and Fritz go to a window in a cabin across from Ralph’s office to get the supplies he asked for with a metal hook. Ralph and Fritz then head towards the cafeteria section of the train to prepare the brunch. Nineteen minutes later, the coach passengers go to the cafeteria section for the brunch, the last one being an unaccompanied boy passenger. When he enters Ralph, Fritz, and the coach passengers welcome him, and he helps Ralph put the star on the Christmas tree.

The train leaves the station, but it is not shown in this film. Instead, the train’s rear lights are briefly seen as a signal that they have left. The coach passengers start to sing “Jingle Bells” and then rush back inside on account of cold weather. Ralph and Fritz finish putting up Christmas tree decorations before joining them in singing Jingle Bells.

They reach their destination (despite a few detours) they are closer than when they started out on their journey together. The film ends with them still riding in tandem, now through snow-covered woods side by side.
