How to stitch a high neck tank top?

Take a high neck tank top and cut off the bottom of it. You’ll want to make sure that you have enough fabric so that there are about two inches above your chest. Cut slits for straps, if desired. Take one side of the high neck tank top (right or left) and fold over as much fabric as you need to thread your needle. Take the opposite side of a high neck tank top and do the same thing, folding it over to make a seam. Run your needle through one end so that you can start stitching from there while holding onto both ends at once (as in the photo). Sew down each strap like this until they’re finished off with a loop on either end.

Start sewing the high neck tank top on one side of your chest, stitching as close to where you want it to sit at the centerline-usually just below a bra strap works well for most women’s breasts (you can also start from under the arm or in between two straps). Sew around and down so that you end up back at the centerline, but this time on the opposite side of your chest.

Continue sewing up both sides until you get to the high neck and then back down again just like with a bra strap. Fold over one side so that it covers the other (or just cut off any excess material). Sew each end together by hand or machine stitching all the way around.

This high neck tank top is finished off with a loop on either end. It’s made by sewing the high neck first, then continuing to sew until they’re finished off with a loop on either end. Start sewing the high neck tank top on one side of your chest, stitching as close to where you want it to sit at the centre. Sew along the high neck to ensure it’s adequately tight.

Continue sewing around and down so that you end up back at the centreline, but this time on the opposite side of your chest.

Sew carefully from high over one shoulder through to the other and then just continue sewing until both ends have loops or a buttonhole sewn in.

Tie the high neck tank top around your body, ensuring it’s tight enough to hold its shape but not so tight that you can’t breathe. This high neck tank top is finished off with a loop on either end. It’s made by sewing the high neck first, then continuing to sew until they’re finished off with a loop on either end.
