This Kof all-star tier list is going to rank the 12 best Kof characters in Street Fighter V. There are a lot of Kof players who love this game, and they have been waiting for an official release from Capcom for years now. When Street Fighter V was finally released there were quite a few Kof fans disappointed because they couldn’t play with their favourite Kof character. Hopefully, Capcom will make more Kof games in the future so that we can see what other characters would be on this tier list!

Now that Kof was finally released in Street Fighter V, Kof players have been waiting for Capcom to release more games so they can see what other characters would be on this tier list. You might expect the top of this Kof all-star tier list to contain Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi, but there are a few Kof characters that most Kof fans would be disappointed to see on this tier list.

The KOF all-star tier list is a ranking of the playable fighters in The King of Fighters series, not including games that were never released outside of Japan. It was created by KOF veteran Joe “Mr KOF” Ciaramelli for KofWorld.com’s KOF XIII preview coverage.

Tier one: Kyo Kusanagi, K’

Tier two: Iori Yagami, Kyo Kotal Kahn

Tier three: Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui

Tier four: Kula Diamond

Tier five: Kyo Kusanagi, K’

Tier six: Kyo Kotal Kahn, Terry Bogard

Tier seven: Kula Diamond

Tier eight: Mai Shiranui, K’

Tier nine: Kyo Kotal Kahn

Tier ten: Kula Diamond

Tier eleven: Mai Shiranui, K’

Tier twelve: Terry Bogard

Tier thirteen: Kyo Kotal K’

Tier fourteen: Kula Diamond

Tier fifteen: Mai Shiranui, K’

Tier sixteen: Kula Diamond

Tier seventeen: K’

Tier eighteen: Kyo Kusanagi, Kya Kiske

Tier nineteen: Kyo Kotal Kahn

Tier twenty: Terry Bogard.

The characters are ranked according to their overall fighting ability and past performances in the series. The list is not finalized because changes may occur in the Kof series. Out of all the KOF characters, Kyo has been shown to be one of the better fighters in Street Fighter V Kof All-Star tier list due to his heavy offensive style that does not rely on projectiles and focuses more on hard-hitting moves such as a downward punch which can also be used for combos. Kyo Kotal K’ is a great character because of his powerful special moves and has been the favourite KOF fighter for many.

The first tier consists of characters that are considered to be better than all other fighters in their weight class, such as Ryu or Ken. The second tier consists of high-level fighters who have techniques at their disposal that are more powerful than the first tier but not as much as KOF characters. The third tier consists of fighters in Street Fighter V Kof All-Star Tier List who have techniques with the potential to do damage and can be a nuisance for an opponent, such as Chun Li or Rashid.

The tier list is not final however and more fighters may be added as the game’s release date draws closer. In June 2012 Ciaramelli created a new KOF XIV preview coverage for KofWorld.com in which the KOF all-star tier list was changed to rank Kof XIV’s playable fighters, not including games that were never released outside of Japan. The KOF XIV preview coverage was also created by Joe “Mr KOF” Ciaramelli for KofWorld.com and the tier list is not final either. It has KOF XIV’s playable fighters ranked, not including games that were never released outside of Japan. Kof all-stars tier list

There are a few Kof characters that most Kof fans would be disappointed to see on this tier list. If you’re not familiar with the series, then it’s understandable why they might be upset seeing some of these Kof all-stars in Tier Five at best. Kyo Kusanagi, K’ is one of the most iconic Kof characters and he’s in Tier five? This tier list doesn’t make much sense to me when I’m considering all Kof games that are out there. Off the top of my head, Kyo Kusanagi and K’ are in Tier Five because they don’t have a projectile attack. KOF XIII’s characters were given special moves that can be used with projectiles or ranged attacks: Clark has his grenades; Maxima can use his Energy Blast; Whip is the KOF girl with her Whip Attack.
