Divine Smite is a MOBA style game where players take on the role of various gods, each with their own abilities and advantages. The game has been around for quite some time now, but there are still plenty of new players joining in every day. One thing that newcomers often struggle with is figuring out how to build their character when they first start playing. This tier list will help you decide what items and skills to focus on as you grow your Divine Smite skills!

Divine Smite Tier List

In order of strength:

Tier One (Strongest) – Nu Wa, Thor, Agni, Aphrodite, Anubis, Ra, Freya

Tier Two – Sun Wukong, Tyr, Kali and Isis.

Tier Three – Cupid and Hades.

Tier Four is the weakest of the tier list – Bastet, Anhur and Sylvanus.

Skills:

Divine Smite lists four different skills that a player can select from to build their Divine character. These are “Attack,” “Defense,” “Utility” and “CC.”

Attack – Divine Smite provides the second-highest DPS in-game, plus it has the lowest cooldown. Thor is a great starter for an Attack-focused build because he also does good damage with his other skills as well. Isis can be helpful for beginners who want some CC but don’t want to focus on it.

Defence – Divine Smite is the most defensive, reducing incoming damage by 40% and also providing a shield that can block up to 90% of additional damage (the remaining leftover after the reduction). Sun Wukong has some skills with AoE effects which makes him an excellent tank for newcomers who want more options than a traditional tank.

Utility – Divine Smite provides helpful buffs for your team and can be used to heal or provide protection from CC effects, which is great if you feel like the other roles are covered by someone else on your team. Bastet has powerful heals which is a plus for new players who want to focus more on supporting their team.

What’s the play?

Divine Smite is used when a player wants to take on more of a defensive role and doesn’t mind sacrificing offensive capabilities in order to do so, while Sun Wukong can be played by players who are new or experienced with the game because they want an extra option for fulfilling that tanking role.

If you’re looking to focus on healing or protection, then Bastet is the right choice because Divine Smite does not provide those options in addition to CC protection and buffs for your team.

If you’re looking for a more offensive option to deal damage on the enemy team, then Sun Wukong is your best choice.

What are the pros and cons of smiting?

Playing with someone who knows what they’re doing can be really helpful in game. But there are also disadvantages to smiting.

The pros:

You can help your team by being a helpful person who knows what they’re doing in the game and is willing to teach others how to play better as well.

Your teammates will appreciate you for it, and probably be more likely to work with you if you need help.

The cons:

You may have to put in a lot of hours and practice, which can feel like taking time away from other things you would rather be doing.

There will always be people who don’t want your help because they believe their way is the only right way, so it could lead to tension within your team.

You never know if you’re going to get a good team, which means that it could lead to some pretty tough smite joust tier list situations for the people who are trying their best.
