The Diablo Clone in Diablo 2 Resurrected is a unique monster that spawns randomly in any Hell difficulty game, excluding those in which the “Kill Diablo” quest has already been completed. The Clone’s appearance and abilities are based on the original Diablo from the first Diablo game. The Diablo Clone is very powerful and difficult to defeat, requiring a group of well-equipped and skilled players to take it down. It has extremely high health and damage output, and it can use a variety of devastating attacks, including fireballs, lightning bolts, and a charge attack that can knock back and stun players.

Defeating the Diablo Clone has a chance to drop the Annihilus charm, a powerful unique item that grants a significant boost to player stats. Because of this, the Diablo Clone is a popular target for endgame players seeking powerful D2R Ladder items and a challenging fight.

How To Spawn Diablo Clone in D2R?

In Diablo II: Resurrected (D2R), the process for spawning the Diablo Clone is slightly different from the original game. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Obtain the “Annihilus” small charm by completing the Hellfire Torch quest. This quest is obtained by selling a Hellfire Torch to Anya in Act 5.
  • Enter a game with the character who possesses the Annihilus small charm.
  • Travel to the nearest Pandemonium Event portal. These portals are located in Act 5 in the Matron’s Den area of the Forgotten Sands.
  • Use the Annihilus small charm to open the portal. This will open the Uber Tristram portal.
  • Enter the Uber Tristram portal, which will take you to a special version of the Tristram area.
  • Kill all three of the Uber bosses in Uber Tristram: Uber Diablo, Uber Baal, and Uber Mephisto.
  • After defeating the Uber bosses, Diablo Clone has a chance to spawn in any Hell difficulty game on the same server. To increase the chances of the Diablo Clone spawning, try killing more unique monsters, especially Super Unique monsters like Bishibosh, Rakanishu, and Treehead Woodfist, in the Hell difficulty.

Note: Diablo Clone can only spawn once per server reset, and only one Diablo Clone can exist on a server at a time.

How To Spawn Diablo Clone in D2R Single Player?

In Diablo II: Resurrected (D2R), spawning the Diablo Clone in single player requires meeting certain conditions:

You must have completed the game on the current difficulty level (Normal, Nightmare, or Hell).

You must have activated the Pandemonium Event by selling the “Organ Set” to Qual-Kehk in Act 5. The Organ Set consists of the following items, which can be obtained by defeating specific bosses in the game:

  • Diablo’s Horn (from Diablo in Act 4)
  • Baal’s Eye (from Baal in Act 5)
  • Mephisto’s Brain (from Mephisto in Act 3)

You must have a “Hellfire Torch” in your inventory. This unique charm can only be obtained by defeating Uber Diablo (the Diablo Clone) in the Pandemonium Event. To craft the Hellfire Torch, you will need to combine the following items in the Horadric Cube:

  • Diablo’s Horn
  • Baal’s Eye
  • Mephisto’s Brain
  • a “Token of Absolution” (obtained by completing the Den of Evil quest in each difficulty level).

Once you have met these conditions, you can spawn the Diablo Clone by creating a game on the same difficulty level as the one you completed and going to one of the following locations:

  • River of Flame (Act 5)
  • Chaos Sanctuary (Act 4)
  • Matron’s Den (Act 5)

Once you reach one of these locations, the Diablo Clone may spawn. Note that the chances of the Diablo Clone spawning are low, so it may take multiple attempts before you encounter him. When you defeat the Diablo Clone, he will drop the Annihilus charm, which provides various bonuses to your character’s stats.
