10) A new study from the University of Sheffield found that over a third (38%) of men feel left out when it comes to parenting their children. Men who are in full-time employment and those on low incomes were even more likely to agree with this statement than other groups such as unemployed or full-time carers.

One of the first news stories that I found was about a study from the University of Sheffield, which showed that 38% of men feel left out when it comes to parenting their children. One would think this number is higher than women since they are already juggling more responsibilities in society; however, this study shows differently and as such, there needs to be an awareness raised.

“Income or employment status was not a factor in whether men were left out from parenting duties, as those on low incomes and full-time employees reported the highest rates of feeling excluded.”

Both news stories are very important because they show how society is changing for both sexes. The story about income or employment status not being a factor in whether men feel left out from parenting duties is very interesting because it shows that society can change for the better.
