Another great Tacoma museum is the University of Washington’s Museum of Art, which showcases art from around the world.

We recommend taking a walk through Point Defiance Park as well! There are many scenic views to enjoy and plenty of animal inhabitants too! The park boasts over 20 miles of trails and a thriving forest ecosystem.

Tacoma is also home to countless craft breweries, including Harmon Brewing Company.

If you’re looking for something more active than arts and culture then head down the road to Ruston Way! This popular biking and walking destination have plenty of places to stop off at like Maybelle’s Filling Station Deli, which has a long list of delicious sandwiches and salads.

Tacoma’s newest attraction is the Museum of Glass. This museum house works by renowned artists like Dale Chihuly and Andy Warhol. The top floor features five galleries with exhibits that include blown glass, drawn glass, fused glass, hot glass artistry, and more.

If you’re more interested in the maritime, head over to Point Defiance Park and get a glimpse of one of Tacoma’s great landmarks – The USS Turner Joy.

The USS Turner Joy was a naval destroyer that served during the Vietnam War and is now open for tours.

You can also stroll around Point Defiance Park but be sure to stop by one of the many cafés or restaurants along the way!

The top of Tacoma is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.
