The main reason that led us to switch was the fact we were starting to feel burnt out from our current position. We were constantly jetting around, which made it difficult for us to stay focused on our work. We also felt that there was limited interaction with the parent management department, which made it hard for us to build a rapport with them.

However, most of our issues could be solved by switching to an online teaching position.

Our major attraction with online teaching was the fact that, unlike a teacher in a traditional classroom who has to teach every subject all over again, we would only have to teach one subject and also be given more freedom as teachers who are not focused on tests and report cards. It was also appealing to us because we would still be able to work in the same environment where we were known and liked. Teaching in a traditional school may promote some negative emotions such as worry, stress, or resentment.
