Some trips are for seeing everything. This is not one of them. The Mediterranean rewards the traveller who does very little, beautifully — a long breakfast, a slow swim, an afternoon that goes nowhere.
Choose a town small enough to learn in a day, then stay three. The point is to run out of things to do.
