Tonal dressing always looks more expensive than it is. Cream on cream, bone with ivory, oat beside chalk — a single family of colour, layered by texture rather than contrast.
The trick is texture: a ribbed knit against smooth wool, matte beside a little sheen. Keep everything in the same warm register and the look composes itself.
